Paul D. Matz

Dr. Paul Matz, MD, brings over four decades of rich experience to his role as a Family Physician. With a foundational education from UC Berkeley and an MD from UC Davis, his professional journey began with an extensive Family Practice Residency that set the stage for a diverse and impactful career. For the initial twenty years, Dr. Matz embraced the role of a “Country Doctor,” providing comprehensive care for newborns to geriatrics in both clinic and hospital settings.

After relocating to Medford in 1998, Dr. Matz became a Partner in the Medford Medical Clinic, contributing significantly to the local medical community. His dedication to healthcare extends beyond patient care, as evidenced by his service on numerous boards, including Jackson Care Connect, Primecare, and the Reliance eHealth Exchange.

Now semi-retired, Dr. Matz continues to focus on care coordination, particularly for patients with complex health needs who need help navigating the intricate medical system. His commitment to ensuring seamless and effective healthcare delivery remains a cornerstone of his work.

In his leisure time, Dr. Matz enjoys reading, gardening, and the joys of raising a new puppy.
