Sliding Fee Discount Program
frequently asked questions
Sliding Fee Discount Program
What is the sliding fee discount program?
As a Federally Qualified Health Center, Rogue Community Health receives federal funding to assist patients who are either uninsured or underinsured. This assistance provides discounted services for qualifying patients.
What services are discounted?
The sliding fee discount applies to medical visits, behavioral health services, medication, and some dental services.
How do I qualify for the sliding fee discount program?
To determine the sliding fee discount you qualify for, you can provide proof of income in the form of a recent pay stub, your most recently filed tax return, agency letter, or a letter from your employer. Once proof of income is provided, the sliding fee discount may be effective for up to one year.
How does the sliding fee discount benefit me if I already have insurance?
Most insurance does not cover 100% of your health needs. The sliding fee discount assists with any procedures or treatments that are not covered, as well as medications.
What if I don’t have the required documentation at my appointment?
You may verbally state your income during registration, and a qualifying sliding fee discount will apply for 30 days. If you don’t provide proof of income documentation at the end of the 30 days, your sliding fee discount will end, and total fees will apply until you have provided the documentation.
