MariaElena M. Rockholt brings a wealth of experience and a multidisciplinary background to her role as a Registered Nurse Case Manager at Rogue Community Health in White City. Her educational journey spans a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and Nursing to a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Philippines Christian – Muslim College of Medicine. Further solidifying her medical expertise, MariaElena completed a Family Medicine Residency Program, earning board certification from the Philippine Academy of Family Physicians.

Her career reflects a deep commitment to community health and education. She has served as a Faculty Professor, a Medical Officer under the United Nations Project in the Philippines, and a leader of various health programs that significantly impact public health. In the United States, MariaElena has contributed her skills to long-term care and outpatient dialysis. She has been integral to Rogue Community Health since 2012, working across multiple sites and spearheading the Integrative Health Program.

MariaElena’s accolades include a residency program award for her research on Dengue fever, recognition from the United Nations’ Urban Health and Nutrition Program, and an award for her health center in the Philippines as “The Center for Health.”

Motivated by her roots and the opportunity to develop community-focused programs reminiscent of her work in the Philippines, MariaElena chose Rogue Community Health. Her philosophy is deeply rooted in providing compassionate care to the underserved, echoing RCH’s mission to serve those with less. She brings a goal-directed, results-oriented approach to her work, emphasizing the importance of empathy, teamwork, and innovative solutions to meet the community’s healthcare needs.

MariaElena is fluent in English and Filipino, enhancing her ability to connect with and serve a diverse patient population.

Besides her professional achievements, MariaElena cherishes time spent with her family, especially her two grandchildren, who bring joy and energy to her life. She enjoys volleyball, reading intellectually stimulating books, immersing herself in nature, and critiquing movies.
