John Yoo, Pharm.D., is a Staff Pharmacist at Rogue Community Health’s White City location, where his broad expertise significantly enhances patient care. With a Bachelor of Science in General Science from Portland State University and a Doctor of Pharmacy from the joint program between Oregon State University and Oregon Health and Science University, Dr. Yoo brings a wealth of knowledge to his role. His certifications include Board-certified in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS), Immunization & BLS, Weight Management (ASHP), and Travel Health (APhA).

Dr. Yoo’s rich professional background spans retail community pharmacy, general inpatient, post-surgery, ICU, anticoagulation management, and infusion clinic settings. At RCH, he plays a key role in developing pharmacy processes for managing Hepatitis C and contributes to the Medication-Assisted Treatment team. His interests also extend to metabolic health and obesity management.

Driven by a desire to serve a diverse patient population, John joined Rogue Community Health for its commitment to serving individuals from various socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds in the Rogue Valley. He appreciates RCH’s collaborative work culture, which focuses on teamwork to enhance patient outcomes.

John’s philosophy on health emphasizes the importance of addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual needs to foster positive lifestyle choices. He advocates for a holistic approach to health and encourages individuals to turn the tide in their favor for sustainable well-being.

John is fluent in English and Korean, allowing him to connect with and serve a broader range of patients in the community.

Outside of work, John enjoys traveling, hiking, photography, cooking, and brewing rice wine. He cherishes afternoon tea and spending time with his wife and son. John humorously describes himself as his wife’s personal “pharm-assist” in the garden, lending a hand with her gardening projects.
