After a rewarding 7-year career in education, spanning post-secondary vocational training to private college preparatory settings, he transitioned into healthcare. He holds Masters degrees in Medical Informatics from Northwestern University and Health Administration from AT Still University and boasts over 17 years of experience in the field.
As a graduate of the Clinic Leadership Institute–Emerging Leaders Program at UCSF, Charles has refined his expertise to drive change and nurture growth within healthcare practices. His board roles, including officer for SacValley MedShare and member of Reliance E-Health Collaborative, highlight his influence, which was underscored by a national award for innovation in electronic health record development. His recent appointment to the CIO Steering Committee for OCHIN cements his status as a thought leader in medical informatics.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Charles is a passionate musician, skilled in playing the guitar and mandolin. He is also a devoted father to two incredible children and enjoys exploring the great outdoors of Northern California through hiking, mountain biking, boating, and kayaking.
