Darcy Walker, CADC II

Por

Darcy, a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor with a BA in Psychology from San Jose State University and a CADC II certification, brings her expertise to Rogue Community Health in Medford. Celebrating six years of service at RCH, Darcy specializes in Substance Use Disorder Treatment, incorporating mindfulness and supporting medication-assisted therapy.

At Rogue Community Health, Darcy appreciates the opportunity to reach individuals with diverse needs and challenges. Her work in an integrated healthcare center allows her to collaborate closely with other professionals to address the whole person and advocate for overall wellness. She is deeply committed to providing care to those seeking to improve their quality of life as they define it.

Darcy’s personal interests are as rich and diverse as her professional skills. She is an artist who finds joy and therapeutic value in creating watercolor, drawing, and mixed-media artwork. Her garden, where she grows flowers and attracts pollinators and butterflies, serves as a serene retreat and inspires her photography and other creative works.

Wayne Hoagland, LPC

Wayne Hoagland, LPC, a highly skilled Specialty Behavioral Health Therapist at Rogue Community Health in Medford, brings a wealth of experience and insight to his role. He earned his Master’s of Education in Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Wayne’s work in the field was recognized when he was named Wilderness Therapist of the Year.

Wayne specializes in mindfulness-based approaches, Trauma Sensitive Yoga, and Brainspotting. These methodologies underscore his commitment to holistic and innovative therapeutic practices, focusing on integrating mind and body for healing. Shelby Matt-Smith LPC, CADC II

Shelby Matt-Smith is a dedicated Specialty Behavioral Health Clinician at Medford Behavioral Health. She completed her Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice at Southern Utah University in 2016, followed by a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Southern Oregon University in 2020. Shelby’s experience includes work at Phoenix Counseling Center, where she earned her CADC II certification.

Shelby specializes in co-occurring mental health and substance use disorder treatment. She has significant experience working with clients dealing with trauma, depression, anxiety, family and emotional dysfunction, legal issues, sexual deviance, Bipolar Disorder, and Borderline Personality Disorder. At Rogue Community Health, Shelby aligns with the organization’s patient-first approach, seeing herself as a supportive guide in her clients’ therapeutic journey.

She believes that quality care stems from curiosity and a willingness to listen, learn, and align with her clients’ priorities. Shelby approaches therapy as a collaborative process, where her role is to provide validation, support, direction, objectivity, and feedback.

Outside of her professional life, Shelby enjoys spending time with her family, engaging in activities like playing games, watching TV shows, exploring new places, and painting. Her two dogs and two cats bring joy and liveliness to her everyday life.

Brielle Sheppeard, PA

Brielle Sheppeard, PA, brings her expertise in Family Medicine to serve the community. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Health Science from The College of Idaho in 2019, followed by a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Bethel University in 2023.

Joining Rogue Community Health was a natural choice for Brielle. Motivated by the desire to help an underserved population, she found a perfect match in RCH’s commitment to community health and its team-oriented approach. Brielle believes in making a real difference through her work, and RCH provides the ideal environment for her to do just that.

Outside of her professional life, Brielle is an avid lover of the outdoors. She enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, and rafting. She has a lifelong passion for volleyball, a sport she played in college. Brielle values spending time with her family and friends and is always eager to explore new places.
