Clarissa Carson, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a comprehensive background in nursing and psychology. Her education includes a Master of Science in Nursing, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Clarissa’s dedication to excellence is evidenced by her recognition as an Executive Committee Member of the Oregon Wellness Program, recipient of Values in Action Awards at Asante RRMC, and her nominated membership in Sigma Theta Tau and Omicron Delta Kappa honor societies.

Specializing in mood disorders, trauma and PTSD, substance use disorders, peri-partum care, LGBTQIA+, and adolescent care (12 and up), Clarissa brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to her practice. Her approach to mental health care is deeply patient-centered, emphasizing choices, personal insight, and partnership in the healing journey.

Clarissa Carson’s philosophy centers on offering support that respects each patient’s unique path. She advocates tirelessly for their well-being and empowers them to achieve optimal health and happiness.

Clarissa’s commitment to community health is personal; as a college student, she benefited from the services of a Community Health Center in Ashland, sparking her passion for giving back to the Rogue Valley community. Her experience in ICU nursing has equipped her with the empathy and resilience needed to support patients through their most challenging times, always to help them live their best lives.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Clarissa enjoys a rich personal life filled with reading, watercolor painting, playing her Nintendo Switch, hiking, music, dancing, and spending quality time with her four children.
