Brandon Berioso, PharmD

Brandon Berioso is a highly skilled Pharmacist at the Medford location, bringing a rich background in pharmacy and biochemistry to the team. He earned his PharmD from Pacific University and holds a BS in Biochemistry from San Jose State University.

Brandon previously worked as a Pharmacy manager at CVS. He was attracted to Rogue Community Health for the opportunity to collaborate more closely with other health professionals and use his clinical skills to improve patient care in an outpatient setting.

Brandon’s academic excellence is highlighted by his contributions to scientific research, with publications on the ‘Critical functions of the polyamine putrescine for proliferation and viability of Leishmania donovani parasites’ (2020) and the ‘Analysis of glucosamine using aqueous normal phase chromatography’ (2016).

Outside of his professional endeavors, Brandon enjoys watching movies, driving, and hiking with the hope of visiting all of the U.S. National Parks. He is an avid traveler who adores experiencing different countries and cultures around the world with his wife. His love for traveling and sightseeing complements his passion for landscape photography, capturing the beauty of the natural world through his lens.

Hyon Knorr, RDH

Hyon Knorr, RDH, is a dedicated Dental Hygienist based in Eagle Point, known for her expertise and compassionate care. Hyon completed her Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene at Shasta College in Redding, CA, and holds dental hygiene licenses in both California (since 2013) and Oregon (since 2022). She graduated with honors in 2013 and was the recipient of the Hu-Friedy Golden Scaler Award, recognizing her exceptional skill and dedication to the field.

With extensive clinical experience, Hyon has treated a diverse range of patients, including children, the elderly, special needs individuals, patients with severe dental phobia, and those with periodontal disease. She champions a team-oriented approach to preventing and treating periodontal disease, emphasizing the importance of collaborative care. Hyon was drawn to Rogue Community Health Center by its alignment with her principles and philosophy on community health. Hyon’s work in community health has deepened her passion for her career. Her goal is to provide quality care, meet patient needs, and assist them in achieving their health goals and a healthy lifestyle.

Outside of her professional life, Hyon enjoys spending time with loved ones, exploring new places, and engaging in a variety of activities such as camping, off-roading, snowmobiling, boating, and vacationing. She also has a passion for riding shotgun with the love of her life, indulging in good food, reading, and tackling unfinished projects, and decorating around the house.

Hi’ilei Battistini LPC, CCSOT

Hi`ilei Battistini brings a profound depth of knowledge and experience to her role as the Senior Director of Behavioral Health. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with an emphasis in youth and family services and a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Corban University. As a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon, Hi`ilei also holds credentials as a Certified Clinical Sex Offense Treatment (CCSOT) provider and is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor – Registrant (CADC-R).

Her specialty training encompasses treatment for various personality disorders, behavioral or conduct management, anxiety, depression, complex grieving, and both complex and acute trauma, along with expertise in mental health and risk assessments. Hi`ilei is skilled in numerous therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR, Narrative Therapy, Psychoanalytic, and Gestalt.

Hi`ilei is a board member of the Oregon Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers and specializes in mental health intervention for individuals involved in the criminal justice system. Additionally, she has experience in treating substance use issues.

Driven by Rogue Community Health’s mission and values, Hi`ilei is dedicated to serving the most vulnerable in the community with integrity, respect, and honor. As Senior Director of Behavioral Health, Hi`ilei feels privileged to support RCH providers and advocate for their members. She emphasizes the creation of a safe space where clients can develop close, professional relationships with their providers, laying the groundwork for meaningful change. She works collaboratively with clients to identify opportunities for growth and client identified priorities. As a provider, Hi’ilei looks for opportunities to gently guide the therapeutic process or highlight growth edges including increasing insight or skill to empower individuals to manage their lives in a way that brings a sense of stability and joy.

In her free time, Hi`ilei is an avid volleyball player and a lover of animals. If she’s not on a volleyball court, you’ll likely find her spending quality time with her family and pit bulls.

Daniel Weiner, DO

Dr. Weiner received his medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine at Pomona, where he also completed a one-year fellowship in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. He completed a Family Medicine Residency program at UC Davis-affiliated Mercy Medical Center in Redding, California.

Prior to joining Rogue Community Health as the Medical Officer in 2015, he served as the Assistant Medical Director for the Redding Rancheria Tribal Health Center.Dr. Weiner is board-certified in both Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine.

He is passionate about addressing all aspects of physical and mental health. In his spare time, he enjoys being active in the outdoors with his family and friends.

Tajinder “Taj” Heer, MD

Dr. Tajinder Heer, MD, is the Senior Medical Director and Clinical Informaticist at Rogue Community Health in Medford. Dr. Heer is board-certified in family medicine and has a comprehensive educational background that includes a B.A. in Biology from Central Washington University, a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Washington, Seattle, and a residency in Family Medicine at Central Washington Family Medicine in Yakima. Dr. Heer brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role.

Throughout his career, Dr. Heer has been recognized for his exceptional contributions to medical education, evidenced by being named Faculty Member of the Year four times at the Central Washington Family Medicine Residency Program. He also served as the Family Medicine Department Chair at Virginia Mason Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Heer’s clinical expertise encompasses a broad spectrum of care areas, covering a range of procedures and treatments from basic skin procedures and orthopedic interventions to no-scalpel vasectomy, comprehensive care in women’s health, pediatric and geriatric care, Hepatitis C treatment, and medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder.

Dr. Heer’s approach to healthcare is rooted in partnership with patients, focusing on understanding and achieving their health goals through empathy, knowledge, and compassionate care.

He has dedicated his career to serving medically underserved populations, aligning perfectly with Rogue Community Health’s mission. At Rogue Community Health, Dr. Heer is leading the creation of a Family Medicine residency program to promote the specialty and improve the quality of care in the Rogue Valley by addressing the deficit in primary care physicians.

In his personal life, Dr. Heer values time spent with family and friends, exploring new places, and engaging in hobbies like reading literature, and watching sports.
