Austen Petersen
Dr. Austen Petersen earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Washington State University in Vancouver, Washington, and then her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Oregon Health & Science University. Dr. Peterson also holds a permit for Nitrous Oxide, commonly known as laughing gas, which she offers to patients who may benefit from its calming effects.
Dr. Petersen feels privileged to be part of a care team prioritizing patient well-being and comfort. She believes effective communication is the key to successful treatment outcomes and strives to ensure her patients feel listened to and meet their health goals. Dr. Petersen encourages her patients to voice any questions or concerns, fostering an environment of trust and understanding, making her a valuable asset to the dental team.
Working alongside her husband, Dr. Alexander Petersen, DMD, at Eagle Point Dental Clinic is a dream come true for Dr. Petersen. Together, they provide comprehensive and empathetic dental care to their community. As a newcomer to Southern Oregon, Dr. Petersen has been captivated by the area’s natural beauty. She and her husband enjoy exploring the region through hiking and have even summited Mt. McLoughlin. Their favorite outdoor spot is Lake of the Woods, where they love to swim during the hot summer months. They’re also eager to find new ski slopes in the winter.
