Alexander Petersen

Dr. Alexander Petersen, a compassionate and skilled dentist at Eagle Point Dental Clinic, graduated from Oregon Health & Science University School of Dentistry. He is certified to provide nitrous oxide to help alleviate dental anxiety, making dental care more accessible for patients with this common barrier. Dr. Alex practices general dentistry and cares for patients of all ages, focusing on oral surgery and restorative treatments.

Since Dr. Alex started practicing dentistry in the small town of Maupin, Oregon, his focus has been on delivering dental care to patients who have, as a community, not had the access to care that they deserve. He believes everyone should have a smile they can feel good about, and Rogue Community Health embodies this mission by extending care to everyone, not just those with the most resources. He believes that we must take care of each other as a community, and dental care is essential to keeping us healthy.

Dr. Alex enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle outside the clinic with his wife, Dr. Austen Petersen, DMD. Together, they love hiking, kayaking, white water rafting, and any water or swimming activity. Oregon’s natural beauty, particularly its coast and the stunning areas of central and southern Oregon, provides the perfect backdrop for their adventures. Additionally, Dr. Alex is an avid chess player, having participated in numerous tournaments throughout his life. He continues to enjoy the game in his free time.
