Rogue Community Health Giving Away Free Cloth Masks & Sanitizer

By News

Rogue Community Health’s Aug. 24 mask giveaway event at the White City Grocery Outlet

MEDFORD, ORE. (Oct. 15, 2020) — This Saturday, Oct. 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Rogue Community Health (RCH) will be giving away one thousand free cloth masks and hand sanitizers, while supplies last, at the following locations:

  • White City Grocery Outlet at 7571 Highway 62
  • Sherm’s Thunderbird at 2347 W. Main St.

Providing quality masks and hand sanitizer for protection against COVID-19 is a part of fulfilling the RCH mission “to improve health, especially for the most vulnerable, in partnership with our community.”

Masks are double-layered with an interior filter pocket, metal nose frame and adjustable straps. They fit adults and most children above the age of five. The hand sanitizer has more than 60% alcohol, as recommended by the CDC.

In addition, any Jackson County resident can enter to win a $250 Visa gift card by filling out a brief questionnaire at roguecommunityhealth.org/maskup before Oct. 31 (available in English and Spanish). The questionnaire offers the option to learn more about COVID-19 testing and how to access support available for those who are quarantining due to COVID-19.

Rogue Community Health previously held a giveaway event in August where 455 cloth masks and hand sanitizers were given away in Ashland, Butte Falls, Medford, Prospect and White City — all locations where RCH has nonprofit community health centers. The giveaways have been funded by an Oregon Health Authority grant awarded for COVID-19 education and outreach.
